About GLP Screen
GLP Screen is a reference site about the blood tests commonly ordered before and during GLP-1 medication treatment, what those tests cost without insurance, and where to order them. It is published by Scout Industries.
Why does this site exist?
People starting semaglutide or tirzepatide often get a list of lab tests and little explanation. Many also pay cash for those tests. We wanted one place that explains each test in plain language, shows real dated prices, and links to the evidence.
How do we research each page?
- Clinical statements link to primary or authoritative sources, such as FDA prescribing information, the American Diabetes Association Standards of Care, MedlinePlus, and peer-reviewed research. Every page lists its sources at the bottom, and all of them are collected on the sources page.
- Prices are copied from each company’s own website on a stated date. We do not estimate prices. When we could not check a price, we say so.
- When the sources do not support a common claim, we say that too. For example, the TSH page explains why a TSH test does not screen for the thyroid tumors named in the GLP-1 warning.
Who reviews the content?
GLP Screen is not currently reviewed by a physician or other licensed clinician. We will not describe the site as “medically reviewed” unless a real, named, licensed person has reviewed it.
What this site is not
GLP Screen does not give medical advice, prescribe anything, sell tests, or collect health information. It does not tell anyone which tests to get or what their results mean. That is a job for a licensed clinician. See the medical disclaimer.
